I am a beginner as an oil painter as I have only been doing it off and on for around two years. I have been an artist all my life though so I think that has helped me out a bit. So I will be posting some of my work as it is being done as well as some pieces that I have already finished. Feel free to comment. I take criticism well. If anyone is interested in buying a piece make me an offer. Keep in mind canvases, oils, and brushes are expensive. I will Post the details of each painting as well. The lighting does not do these paintings justice as I do not have a good source of lighting in my apartment to take a good photo.
#1 The Dark Storm
Very large Painting. Oil on canvas. I think its around 3x4 feet. In the distance if you look closely you can see volcano's. The Ocean is like one big pool of acid that send off vapors into the air. The alien plant in the foreground takes root in the rocks awaiting to engorge acidic microbes for survival.
#2 The Tree of Life
This acrylic painting is 18x24 inches. This was actually one of my first paintings ever. It has a certain beauty in its simplicity. It is actually on a paint board rather than a canvas.
#3 Reflections on the Water
This one is a very large oil on canvas measuring around 3x4 feet. Again the lighting is very poor. The enchanting color of this painting cannot be seen. I will repost these when I find a way to get better lighting for the photographs.
#4 A different World
This is actually a very small oil on canvas measuring around 10x14 inches. I am really starting to drift away from all the basic landscape designs as I am finding new joys when I experiment with paintings like this one.
